Fee update with Open Carry With Training Act

Hello! Welcome to the Integrity Firearms website and my very first blog!

With the new Open Carry with Training Act approaching in 13 days (August 15th). I wanted to share some key changes and additional information to keep you in the know:

• Starting with fees - currently all new & renewal CWP applications are required to include a $50.00 payment and a replacement CWP fee is $5.00. Starting on the 15th of August, ALL of those fees become $0! They are no longer required!

• Also, you must note that if you already attended training prior to August 14th, you need to have that submitted to SLED. With proof of training being changed, SLED is not going to be accepting any old checklist postmarked on or after the August 15th date. 

This being my first blog I don’t want to drag on too much longer, but I will leave you with this last bit of information about the Open Carry with Training Act:

• This law does not change where a CWP holder can carry in South Carolina. Nor does it change the right of a public or private business or establishment to post a sign prohibiting or allowing the carrying of a concealable weapon by a valid CWP holder.
